The only reason prior administrations were less "anti-freedom" to the press is because most of their secrets were burned and/or safely locked up in brick and mortar before they could touch the press.

Computers have made it all too easy for one guy to become a whistleblowing hero. Forget the parking lot theatrics, Deep Throat today could expose Watergate over his 30 min lunch break.

The media are far, far worse than the politicians. To quote Pat Buchanan on last night's Q&A with Brian Lamb-"the press is the enemy."

Please note that I am not against press freedom, just the arrogance of them.
