Well, they did a terrible centrist and vague campaign, targeting nowhere. They must learn lessons the hard way.

No, it was downfall-gate Wink

That stupid sun logo didn't help either. What happened to the ship logo they used to have?

Interestingly though, this is the best NDP showing ever in popular vote.

What's going on? Looks like votes counts have stopped coming in.  I guess the rest are the ones with problems with the new counting machine system.

Cardy is resigning. Another dumb decision on his part. Now who is going to lead the party?

Pretty much anything left (the last box in every riding) is the provicially counted special votes. There is 50 boxes of it, nine are left.

Cardy, the NDP leader, resigns.

I hope it's tied and the Greens hold the balance of power and they force the government to implement proportional representation.

Is this not the largest vote share for NDP ever in NB ?

Yes. This is why Cardy should've stayed.

Machines may be faster in general, but if humans were counting, we would know who had won by now, due to the machine delays.

The NDP needs someone to be leader for more than one election, so they can spend a few cycles building the party. Right now it's just a revolving door. They haven't had a leader stick around in over a decade.

At the same time, if you are not in the Assembly, you have no revenues. Hard to lead a party and travel around the province without any revenues.

I'm worried about the municipal elections in Ontario. Some municipalities will be using internet and telephone voting. Horrible!

The issue isn't boxes, it's the special vote! ENB problem!

Also, is anyone else finding the new look of CBC's "New Brunswick votes" less user-friendly than the old clickable maps they used to have?

ENB published a press release.

8 boxes have counted but are unable to transmit to the database, for some reason. They hope to fix the issue tonight.
