Yes, another poll, I'm trying to make one of these every seven or eight days to get a more accurate result by comparing a good number of them. Cynic is now a Senator, Spiral was elected but won't be running for reelection, Wrath is likely to be banned (he could have been a likely candidate), Griffin won't be running for reelection and GAworth and Mechaman have been added just for fun. Three days!

My preferences will go as follows:

1. Me (duh Tongue )
2. Alfred
3. Mechaman
4. Polnut
5. Lumine

I think that'll be my top five...

A Federalist candidate.
At the moment, Lumine, but I'm not excluding another Federalist candidate (JCL, Clarence).

First preferencia GAworth, followed by Lumine,  Clarence,  and Dr.  Cynic, not sure if in that order.

With all the free time I have now, I'd jump back into the Senate if The Party didn't already have their candidate!

Cynic, Polnut, Jones, Clarence, and probably Deus, although order uncertain and the list subject to change. I wouldn't mind seeing something serious out of Mechaman.

No... which is sadly why I probably won't be able to bring myself to vote for him.

The last thing the senate needs is more inactives. Imagine what could be accomplished if all 10 actually participated in the debates!

Is there a groundswell of support out there for a Winfield candidacy?

Is the Silent Majority just waiting for me to announce I am running?

Will The People ever rest until I answer Fear not, I am here?

Ah yes, what are the answers to these thought provoking questions?

It is with tears in my eyes and with a lump in my throat that I am forced to the conclusion that yes, Duke, you are right.

As you know only too well Duke, heavy is the head that wears the crown.

Cynic

I was away the last five days so someone fill me in. How did Cynic get in the senate if Spiral won?

Adam Griffin resigned from the Senate before his seat was up, so President DemPGH appointed The Cynical One to it. Tongue

Most of these candidates are awesome, but like last time, I'll probably first preference AFJ again.

The President doesn't appoint Senators. If a vacancy happens close to the next election, the vacating Senator's party has a chance to fill it. With Dr. Cynic's excellent but shortfallen campaign, he was a natural choice for the position.

In hindsight the DRs got really lucky. It is ironic that Labor is the first in a long time to take advantage of the late term appointment capability when it is the small parties that would have the most to gain from utilizing it. It was only a difference of about six days between your resignation and the deadline I think.

Yeah, so really, I still look at the special election as a victory. (How's that for revisionist history? Tongue )

Even still, I'm very happy to see how well I've been doing in this poll. Tied for second place is certainly enough for me to keep my newly gained seat.
