Possible age test here.

Yes I did. I imagine just about everyone within 5 years of my age range did.

Yes. I received one for Christmas in 1994 when I was 6 years old.

The age range is pretty large. We got one for Christmas in the late 60's when they were the hot new toy.

Indeed, the one "I" had was old when I first started playing with it in the mid 70s.  We even still had a few of those black construction paper things that told you what color to put where so the thing at the end kind of looked like a jack-o-lantern or Mickey Mouse.

I found it boring, even by mid 70s child entertainment choices.  Hot Wheels were and are much more fun.

Of course!  But I didn't get mine until 2000 or 2001, so I'll have to agree with Muon i saying that the toy probably covered a wide, transgenerational age range.

I had one, but realized fairly quickly that it wasn't as much fun as I expected.

I also didn't have Hot Wheels. I wanted them but never got them. Instead I'd find random bits of things and build "tracks" then send marbles down them, typically at the end starting a chain of dominoes falling over.

Yeah, but similar to the above, I got bored of it after like a day. I preferred building things with Legos and then crashing them into each other and destroying them.

Of course nowadays children are too busy watching high definition pornography on their iPads to play with wholesome toys like that.

I would have killed for some Legos as a child. My mother said they would "make a mess." And that's undoubtedly true, but I'm still a little bit bitter.

Yep. It was so exciting. Then you plug it in and go "That's cool". Then you never used it again.

No, but a couple of neighbor kids had them and never really played with them.  I had fun with my Lincoln Logs, my Legos, and my full size G.I.Joe, among other toys.  (The Barbies my sisters had were pressed into service as nurses for Joe when he got injured.)

Yeah I remember it. Though somehow over the years it disappeared (probably because of my dad throwing it away)

I may have, though as a child I primarily played with plastic animal figurines.

It was a toy, that had a light bulb in it and a front with a bunch of holes in it.  It had THOUSANDS of different colored little pokey things that would glow when poked into the holes.  You could make glowing multicolored static images.  It was one of those things that seemed like it might be fun until you actually do it.  Like zip lining or a magic act.

Yes. I don't remember how I old I was, but it had to have been in the early '90s. I don't know if it's still around in storage or not.

Yes. Surprising how many on here did. Perhaps it somehow fueled an interest in political maps?
