Michelle Bachmann got way more national attention, way more negative national attention. Steve King is on Bachmann's level of nuttery but he's only known for some very stupid gaffes.

If Rand can eat at the same table as King, why can't he stay to correct him when someone comes to talk, rather than run away with his food in his hand?

The republican party disgusts me, but I can't really blame Paul for walking away.  Being in situations such as this one can only hurt you, especially if you have presidential aspirations.  There are better places to discuss the issues.

Gaffes are something that is a mistake. Steve King doesn't make mistakes, he says odious things on purpose.
