Guys, I have an idea.
Why not having a unofficial Majority leader and minority leader?
The best would have been to amend the current rules for that, but that would  so long to do that.

So, if the Senators agree, I propose myself to administer that.

Of course, the title of Majority leader/minority leader would just be honorific Tongue.

I love that idea! I'm personally for making this game a lot like the U.S. political system (including a bicameral legislature with a lower house divided up into districts), and that would still be a great step forward. Only if this is the case, the Majority Leader should have more authority than the PPT to avoid confusion.

Speaker of the House would have more power than PPT and House Majority Leader.

I'd be fine with it, though the multi party makeup of the body will make something like that interesting.

I've always been supportive of having these positions, so this certainly has my support. If we manage to get a House as well it would be really interesting to have the whips as well, xD

Also, if this is occurs in either chamber, the Majority and Minority leader would be entitled to control slots on the floor for bills to be presented in addition to the Speaker or PPT/VP.

Perhaps the two largest parties (currently Labor and Federalist) form "caucuses" which each have their own leader.  Third party and independent members can decide which caucus to join.

That's an excellent proposal!

I suggest or recommend keeping this as informal as possible, otherwise, it will be ruined by its own complexity.

If you take up the idea with the two caucuses, why not make the PPT the Majority Leader inofficially, as he will logically be elected by and from the larger caucus, and the Minority Leader an inofficial position elected by the other caucus? It wouldn't be that complex then.

This is not a good idea. As with most 'reforms', we don't have enough members for this to make sense. There are ten Senators, what is the point of having a 'majority leader'? And if the title's just honorific... why bother?

Perhaps the two largest parties (currently Labor and Federalist) form "caucuses" which each have their own leader.  Third party and independent members can decide which caucus to join.

Yeah nice, let's just make sure the duopoly is established as firmly as possible. If this happens we'll rapidly be hurtling back to the dying days of the JCP/RPP era.
