Given the horrendous circumstances, I agree that this is needed. The last sentence of your own quote in the OP, though, suggests that it's not completely clear that offensive strikes have taken place.

Yeah, I don't know. Either they're lying or someone else is bombing ISIS, but there are multiple reports from what I've read of people on the ground witnessing jets and explosions.

You people seriously see nothing wrong with the fact that we don't even know if we've actually launched a bombing campaign in a foreign country or not? If this actually happened, and the Pentagon is denying it and claiming that it didn't, that's...somewhat troubling.

Not immediately they don't.  Operational security comes first.  It always has.  And there is a current law that gives the President authority to engage in Iraq.  It has not been repealed.
