I have watched the first 2 seasons or so and then stopped watching it.

But I have recently read that they will air the final season here and they will show who the mother is.

Ted meets her at the wedding, they date for years, have kids, and eventually get married. She does of some illness and Ted starts dating Robin at the urging of his kids.

Yes, but season 9 was pretty dumb. They should have just made it the first year of Ted and Tracy dating, and then axed the bit about Tracy dying and Ted going back to Robin (and axed the part about Barney and Robin getting divorced).

No, I've never seen a single episode from front to back.  The little I have seen ensures that the trend will continue.  I like Doogie and a couple of other cast members, but the show just doesn't "do it" for me.
