1) Agree, but only in moderation

2) Agree, makes literally no sense not to. 20-something DINKs in areas such as NYC/Chicago/San Francisco/London/Vienna/Copenhagen/etc. have the best situation in the world.

3) Agree

4) Meh, depends.

5) Agree, if both parties are fine with it.

6) Agree

7) Disagree, but oppose illegalizing abortion

1) Viewing pornographic material is ok. - Agree (with caveats on it being legal)

2) It is a good idea for couples considering marriage to live together in order to decide whether or not they get along well enough to be married to one another. - Agree.

3) It is ok for two people to get together for sex and not necessarily expect anything further. - Agree.

4) If a couple has children, they should stay married unless there is physical or emotional abuse. - I don't believe anyone should have to stay married unless they want to, unhappily married parents does not well-grounded children make. Disagree

5) It is sometimes permissible for a married person to have sex with someone other than his/her spouse. - This is a very complex question. Now, would I want to have sex with someone other than a spouse? No. But there are any number of circumstances where something can happen - so I have to lean Agree, but with numerous caveats

6) It is ok for three or more consenting adults to live together in a sexual/romantic relationship. - Again, it's not something I'd want or understand - but if it makes them happy... Agree

7) I support abortion rights. - Agree.

I guess I understand the being a puritan about sex thing, but not living together before marriage just sounds like a profoundly stupid idea to me. You don't even have to sleep in the same bed if you want, but there's no way of knowing you're compatible if you don't live together first.

Agree on all except 4.  You are a bad parent if you get don't divorced when you dont like each other.  No need to raise a child in a heated environment.  Also Abortion I have really drifted on, I just don't think It's my place to decide for a women on such a big decision.

Edit, I did a mistype.  Above is what I meant to say

Hence why the term "abuse" is too broad. You can be really unhappy in a relationship without it being 'abusive'.

I seem to be in the minority on number five, but why should we let social mores play such a big role here? The question did not say "without permission." If both of you agree to an open relationship or want to go to a key party, who am I to say that's wrong? You're not hurting anyone by having sex with a person other than your spouse if your spouse is supportive and enthusiastic about it.

Social mores exist for a reason. There is risk involved. There may be cases where both partners are genuinely enthusiastic about the other person having sex with someone else, but that doesn't guarantee it won't affect the emotional (including sexual) quality of the relationship, or indeed the emotions of the other people each partner is having sex with.

Whoops. I misread it. I don't believe in divorce unless there is abuse generally. You tripped me up by switching it around with that one.

I came across the Relationships in America Survey and was curious how Atlas would compare to America at large (and various subsets). Please vote whether you agree or disagree with each of the following statements.

1) Viewing pornographic material is ok.

2) It is a good idea for couples considering marriage to live together in order to decide whether or not they get along well enough to be married to one another.

3) It is ok for two people to get together for sex and not necessarily expect anything further.

4) If a couple has children, they should stay married unless there is physical or emotional abuse.

5) It is sometimes permissible for a married person to have sex with someone other than his/her spouse.

6) It is ok for three or more consenting adults to live together in a sexual/romantic relationship.

7) I support abortion rights.

1) Disagree
2) Agree, but it's gotta be a serious relationship
3) Disagree
4) Agree
5) Disagree
6) Never thought about it, but probably Disagree
7) Disagree

As for the law, agree on all but 4.  As for me personally, agree on the first 4, disagree on the last 3.

I mind my own damn business when it comes to love, sex, and relationships. What people do with their own private lives is their own concern. Internet prudes who seek to control, judge, and demean the sex lives and family practices of others, are the worst.
