Agree with all but #5.

I mind my own damn business when it comes to love, sex, and relationships. What people do with their own private lives is their own concern. Internet prudes who seek to control, judge, and demean the sex lives and family practices of others, are the worst.
Nobody has suggested their views in this topic should be put into law, genius.

The law is not the only method to control, judge, and demean, genius.

Agree on all, but '4' doesn't mean they ought to be forced to do so, by law or custom, and '5' would be in unusual/limited circumstances.

On #4, "Agree" is the socon one, or am I misjudging your views?

Whoops. I misread it. I don't believe in divorce unless there is abuse generally. You tripped me up by switching it around with that one.

Yeah, divorce should be banned.

(Well, not really... but at least strictly curtailed)

If memphis wants the rest of us to stop controlling, judging, and demeaning people's sex lives and family practices, then I for one would like to call on him to stop controlling, judging, and demeaning people's gender identities*. He doesn't have the excuse of being a religious conservative or something.

Anyway, disagree on 1, 3, 5, and 6, agree on 4, case-by-case on 2, and I really just cannot but abstain on 7. None of this should surprise anyone. As always, I could perhaps best be described as 'unwilling to fully commit to being [by prevailing forum standards] a socon'.

*for lack of a better term. I've come to think lately that 'gender identity' is a pretty crappy term.

Agree on 2, but it should be a serious relationship and move individuals should bluntly explain the situation to make sure everyone is on the same page before they ever have sex.

Agree on 7.

Disagree with the rest.

Agree with all but 4. Five is fine so long as both spouses are aware of and okay with it.

Having this as a "morality poll" is confusing to me.  I don't think any of these are intrinsically immoral.  I wouldn't call something "immoral" just because I think it's generally a bad idea with bad consequences, especially if it's as situational as several things listed here are.

Disagree with all except #4, and #2 to an extent (serious relationships are very different to non-serious relationships).

I agree with all except for #4. I'm not sure why you think raising children in a loveless marriage is a good thing, assuming a divorce could be handled relatively amicably. I'm not in the business of judging people for their sex lives unless they're bronies.

Also, ITT teenage prudes.

It's very strange the type of people this website attracts. Nothing but a constant stream of teenagers who think premarital sex is immoral and gays cruising the place for an easy fck.

Let's compare the results to the general population. These results are as of 93 votes.

1) Viewing pornography is ok: 78.5% Agree (47.1% more liberal)

2) Premarital cohabitation is good: 87.9% Agree (44.9% more liberal)

3) No strings attached sex is ok: 77.2% Agree (42.% more liberal)

4) Couples should stay married unless abused: 45.6% Agree (18.9% more conservative)

5) Adultery is ok sometimes: 46.2% Agree (38.7% more liberal)

6) It is ok for 3+ adults to live in a sexual relationship: 66.7% Agree (50.4% more liberal)

7) I support abortion rights: 75.3% Agree (37.5% more liberal)

Well would you look at that! There's actually an issue where Atlas is more socially conservative than the American populace as a whole! It's strange to note that Atlas is most conservative where America is most liberal.

The other surprising result was the support for polygamy. I was under the impression that polygamy supporters were a loud minority on Atlas, but apparently they are a 2/3 majority.

I didn't realize just how conservative the general populace was on sexual issues. I mean, over two-thirds of the population think porn is immoral? Really?

Remember that is different than thinking it should be illegal.

Yeah, that much was obvious. I just underestimated how anti-porn most people's personal views were.

Well, I'm sure a significant number of them are lying.

The most shocking part about this poll is we have 100 participants. I didn't think that many people browsed Forum Community.

A significant proportion have nevertheless "sinned" and intend to "sin" again while excusing it somehow.
