Anonymous comments in a youtube video are probably admissible in court, right?
I'm not suggesting that as we're not in a court of law, just the court of public opinion.  Why do you think the guy would LIE in that situation though?  Seems much more likely that he was telling the truth as he saw it.

So you're saying everybody else is lying? That they all got together and concocted a story, or all came up with it on their own?

And when you say that Mike Brown was barreling toward the police, you're imposing some assumptions on what this guy is saying anyway. He said he was coming back toward the police, right? Not charging. You're imposing that on the story. As well as the idiotic assertion that you keep making that he was "hopped up on goofballs".

I'm glad he's laying low. This is much too complicated of a case for him to come out and say anything besides generic calls for peace. Let him enjoy his vacation.

I'm not sure presidents ever actually enjoy their vacations.

but anyway, I'm generally an Obama apologist but I would like to see him more visible on the issue, especially now that it's been a week, especially given that he himself, the first black president, was a former community organizer from the midwest, who really doesn't have much to lose at this point.

Perhaps it's just my hope that he will end up "going Bulworth" as he himself apparently put it last year...

and this:

Obama needs to send in the national guard and arrest these piece of sht cops. Shoot them if they resist.

Also, I'm utterly, absolutely shocked that the anti-government, open carry crazies haven't descended upon Ferguson to fight the "tyranny of a police state" and defend "freedom"... wait... I'm not.

I don't know who is lying, even if my theory (note, I'm not saying I know the whole truth, but I'm looking it for it and I'm not coming from the assumption that the cop is guilty, like most people always seem to in situations like this.  I'm also not saying you or Sbane are making that mistake.) is true, most people saying that wouldn't be lying, they'd be misinformed.

It seems like the guy would have said it differently in tone and words if Mr Brown looked to be surrendering...have you listened to the video?

He made some choices that a normal sober person wouldn't tend to make and I'm not the only one wondering the status of the guy's head at the time the sh**t went down.  "hopped up on goofballs" is a colloquialism for someone appearing to be on some kind of drug.  Usually used in a "jokey" way.

I didn't really feel the rest was worth responding to. You're accusing people of only seeing what they want to see, but when you hear an anonymous comment on a youtube video, all of a sudden it's the gospel truth no matter what other sources might say.

Again, I'm not saying it's "the gospel truth" that's you, again, putting words in my mouth.

Right-wing response to this story increasingly becoming a parody of itself.

The marijuana made him violent. It all makes sense now.

I am on the fence right now (because I don't know what happened obviously), but if they try to push the theory that marijuana made him violent, I am going to reflexively support Mike Brown and listen to NWA for like half an hour.

No, marijuana makes people mellow and (if anything) probably considerably less likely to behave violently.

She is 90 years old? Good for her, she looks much younger and I'm glad she is able to take to the streets to have her voice heard that age.

Unfortunately, Obama needs to steer clear of this. The day he spoke out about Trayvon Martin was that George Zimmerman became a hero to most Republicans. We don't need that again.

White robbers in St. Louis who assault cops, breaking their bones in the process, do not get executed in the street. Too bad we can't say the same for black jaywalkers.
