Was there ever any real doubt that Biden gets naked when he probably shouldn't?

The third for sure. I have a hard time believing that Hillary would be nasty to the Secret Service as much as she would be the lower echelons of her staff.

My aunt met up with an ex-Secret Service agent a while back who mentioned that Biden and Clinton are kinda weird sexual-harassment-wise and that Obama still smokes all the time and that the Bushes are almost obscenely nice.

All the way back in the mid nineties it was rumored her Secret Service detail hated her with a passion, she tried to use them like servants/slaves......very very old allegation.

None of this surprises me (assuming the Clinton is Bill and not Hillary)....

Jimmy Carter's nice guy/everyman image was pretty much a fraud. He'd come to the Oval Office early every morning to get noticed going in early then take an immediate nap on the couch.

Sounds just like an everyman to me, tbh.

Yeah, sounds like the typical American male on a Monday morning.

Honestly, I think Bush 41 was one of the best men to ever be president. You can talk about the policies, but he's objectively a pretty good guy. He cares about family, and he doesn't care what a person's family looks like. More Republicans should take his lead.

George and Barbara Bush are the nicest, most thoughtful people you could ever imagine.

I recall reading somewhere that some evenings/weekends, they would play horseshoes on the lawn with the WH staff and that it was a very informal "hangout" type atmosphere.

I work with a guy who worked Red Switch at the White House in the 90s and he said Bill was nice, Hillary was a bitch.

President Obama feels the same way Hagrid does of 41.  It's no secret and has been publicly noted that he holds President Bush 41 in VERY high personal regard.

Find me a video of Bush saying that quote, Nagas. Then we'll talk.

Even if he did say that, people change and people say things in difficult situations that they don't necessarily believe. I say actions count louder than words, and not too many Republicans have happily and warmly been a witness to a gay marriage.

George HW Bush is total scum and one of the worst people to be involved in political life in a democracy in the last few decades - a far worse human being than Reagan or his doltish son. I don't care if he sends birthday cards to his bodyguards or whatever. Sociopaths can feign being 'decent people' a lot of the time.

Roll Eyes

There was no video recorded at the event. The lack of a physical recording does cut into the quote's authenticity I admit, but the written correspondence after the fact leads credence to its authenticity. Bush has never denied the quote and page 39 of the correspondence suggests that it is something he could have said. Even if the actual quote is fabricated, the lack of denial and what was written is pretty indicative of his views toward that segment of the population.

You get props not when you're out of office or when its politically expedient, but when you're in a position to actually affect change and policy (for the record, not a fan of Obama doing this to get elected) at risk to you or your party's electoral prospects. He was not an ally toward the LBGT community nor the non-religious community during his tenure. Still, his reversal on gay marriage (at least a lesbian one, which is less stigmatized than a male-male, but we'll give him the benefit of the doubt), is of course welcome.

Granted, he is a better Republican than the bulk of the party that exists today, and most of what his personality was should be emulated. His domestic policies and utter aloofness to domestic issues, less so.

If Biden likes to skinny dip, I see no reason why he should not do so because some Secret Service agents are present.  It's a crappy part of the job, but ideally they should be treated as if they aren't there.
