Who cares? Let him do what he wants. Insisting thst people be attracted to people of other races or be deemed racist is absurd. He's not saying it should be banned. Christ, whatever happened to "live and let live"?

Next thing you know you'll be calling us transphobic because we don't want to date men who have had gender reassignment surgery.

I obviously understand he's not calling for legislation against inter-racial marrying/dating, but the fact it's a personal choice doesn't make it any less a racist choice.

What is Zephyr Teachout's future?

Her name recognition is certainly high. If Schneiderman doesn't run for a third term as Attorney General, that is an office through which Teachout can pursue an anti-Wall Street agenda.

Cuomo visits... Afghanistan.

It's possible that Cuomo has made more public appearances in Asia than he has in Albany since the legislature adjourned in June.

Is he mulling a bid Nix?

Good news for Hawkins. The less random/silly third party candidates there are, the higher his vote total will be.

Say what you will about Astorino, but at least his campaign is unsettlingly bizarre: http://politicalwire.com/archives/2014/09/30/do_we_elect_a_governor_who_may_end_up_in_jail.html

So surely that works out the other way around...

"Should we elect a U.S. Rep. who might end up in Jail."?

Republican Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano has endorsed Cuomo and cut an ad for him.

Unless Hawkins has a massive surge, Cuomo be re-elected. Isn't Mangano one of the up and comers for the NY GOP?

Hawkins at 9% in Quinnipiac. Hopefully he'll hit double digits in a major poll soon.

Cuomo's campaign is very, very weird. He's refused a one on one televised debate with Astorino, instead only accepting a four person (with Hawkins and the Libertarian) televised debate (he proposed a one on one radio-only debate but Astorino refused). That's not that strange for an incumbent governor running against joke opposition, but there's more. With three weeks to go in the election, he's apparently launched a book tour to promote his new memoir. No one really gives a sh[inks] about his 500+ page memoir though, and most of the attendees at the signings seem to be party hacks or rich donors (or protestors). He's declined invites from the Daily Show and Morning Joe to promote his book, and even canceled an interview with a local news station in Rochester after the station wouldn't agree to only ask him questions about the new book. Also he keeps going on trips to Caribbean countries, supposedly to shore up Latino support (though why he wouldn't just campaign with Latinos actually living in New York, who knows).

So maybe he'll be kept under 60% after all!

Not that it necessarily surprises anyone but he's also been extremely tepid in his support of Democrats running for the state senate, despite his apparent "agreement" made earlier in the campaign as a component to gaining the WFP endorsement.

Did you catch his interview with the New York Times? It's kinda great.

Hawkins will be holding a campaign rally with Ralph Nader in NYC next weekend!

Very excited to attend! With Cuomo's campaign collapsing into farce, double digits is looking more and more attainable!

Yuck. This makes me consider switching my endorsement. Nader has caused more damage to this country than Cuomo ever will. Too bad Rent Is Too Damn High isn't an option.

with the state of the NY GOP bench, any two-term Republican exec of a major county qualifies as an "up and comer".
