Considering that McGovern lost the popular vote by like 23pts, what sort of definition of 'best' are we talking about here?

The most representative of what average Democrats on Atlas Forum want in policy from a presidential nominee.  I mean, it couldn't be yearning back to their inept and gaffe ridden campaign.  It blows my mind that Nixon even thought their HQs and events were worth sabotaging.
