Option 2 easily.  I'm not a vegan or even a vegetarian, but vegan meals can sometimes be tasty.

For a week? Option 2 by a mile. I don't know if I could do, say, a year of only eating vegan, but if it were vegetarian I'd go with that.

Easily #1. Politics is meaningless the majority of the time.

EDIT:  Also, do you guys not have legitimate crunch periods when you don't have free time for politics?  I know in college this was definitely the case during final exams when I was in the library 24/7.......

I hope I get to a point in my life where option 1 is the norm for me.

I don't mind vegan food but why would "going without politics" for a week be a bad thing in any sense?

Option 1 means you can't even read or listen to political news or political history, have access to political information, or discuss politics with others.  You must be completely unaware of all political events that occur during the time, and you can't find out about past political information that you don't already know.

I could do it if absolutely necessary.  I could also go vegan for a week.

Sounds blissful.

Go without politics easily. Don't you guys have family/friends/significant others who can't stand politics? It's pretty easy to go without, and probably better for my stress levels Tongue

Sure, but I don't need to make them watch the news with me.

Currently? Option 1. At any previous point in time during election season it'd be option 2 hands down, but things just aren't interesting now.

Depends on the scenario under which either of these occur.  Neither of these would be a bad thing under the right conditions.  If it is a matter of having to actively avoid either one of these that can be a pain. Avoiding politics would be more of a task with my usual habits, but if I'm working at camp or on vacation or something I don't mind doing so at all.

Option 2. I would subsist off of potatoes for the duration of that week.

Option 2 is the only reasonable answer and tbh wouldn't be that hard. I love vegan stuff.
