The AR-GOV race seems pretty interesting in the issues that the Republican candidate is running on.  When I saw several of the ads, especially the "computer science" I was surprised by the emphasis of the ads.   Is the fact that Asa's not just using "blame Obama" ads part of the reason he's leading now?  I am curious what those with more information would say about his strategy.  It seems much more non-ideological than the campaigns of many other gubernatorial hopefuls in red states.  Obama's only even mentioned in 1 ad, which is pretty surprising.

Makes sense. Arkansas has a very popular Democratic Governor so he can't easily just run against Democrats. Kudos to him for actually presenting an idea.

Yeah.  What I loved about the emphasis is that a lot of politicians think that education is good enough when kids pass their math/reading tests.  But Asa gets to the root of a key part of education - getting people to learn marketable skills.  I definitely would endorse Asa from what I've seen of him.  He seems like a really good guy.

Exactly. Please out of high school should be employable in the modern workforce without having to go to college, because not everyone can. The sooner society realizes that, the sooner we can build the economy of the future.

I like this Ad. It's nice to see some forward thinking from the GOP.

This is a major part of everybody's least favorite policy idea Common Core, which is why it is attracting the evil support of corporate fatcats at Microsoft and Oracle.

It's not surprising when you consider that Asa Hutchinson is kind of a throwback to the '90s-era GOP that was very education-focused and viewed what children learned as a public issue, not the private fiefdom of parents who may not know or care to make that decision.

Instead of just saying, "I DON'T WANT MUH CHILDRUNS LEARNIN' THE EVOLUTION!!!", he's actually saying what he does want them to learn.

I like the 90s era GOP. I'd even take Bill Frist over Mitch McConnell any day.

Are you being satirical?  It's hard to tell sometimes with you.
