At this juncture Devin you are the sole member of the council. Feel free to introduce it as you please.

There is a vacant seat on the council; therefore I appoint Superique to fill the vacancy.

I support this proposal, as it should clarify that the Pacific is not suffering an emergency and that the region does not require the federal control it experienced at that time.

What is the current rules of order for the Pacific Council (is it still RARCO?)

Here's what I can find on the wiki:

https://uselectionatlas.org/AFEWIKI/index.php/Random_Acronym_Relating_to_Council_Order
https://uselectionatlas.org/AFEWIKI/index.php/Speaker_Election_Act
https://uselectionatlas.org/AFEWIKI/index.php/Revised_Discussion_Time_Act
https://uselectionatlas.org/AFEWIKI/index.php/Resolution_Concerning_the_Amount_of_Legislation_in_the_Council
https://uselectionatlas.org/AFEWIKI/index.php/End_of_Session_Act

If these are all still the operating documents of the Senate then we need to get a Speaker elected because the Governor shouldn't be running things directly and doesn't appear to be allowed to do so.

I recommend writing a new Official Legislative Council Rules of Procedure (OLCRP) to rectify this situation. Would the Justice mind taking the lead on that front?

I have some revisions in mind, but I urge the assembly to consider the above proposed legislation.

Not sure what's going on with the Pacific Judicial proposal, but aside from the constitutionality of it, why is it necessary? And where is a panel of judges for a court like that going to come from?

Honestly, if we had combined regions, we might be able to do something like that, but only under ideal circumstances.

While I was Governor, I always proposed legislation, as did DemPGH and PJ... I guess so?

I'd like to publicly note for the record my agreement with the President as relates to my opposition to expanding the Pacific judiciary or in any way otherwise diluting the role of our current Justice. We can barely keep a Council full, let's not add a bunch of judges.

The Speaker has indicated to me that he will be unavailable for an indefinite period. Thus, as per its  rules, I will preside over the Legislative Council for the time being.

While I have no hope that this will fail the current council, I will be eager to vote against it in the referendum and if it should pass the public vote, seek legal action against this. Heck, such a thing has no place in our constitution! Pass it as a law if you wish, but keep our constitution unspoiled of this!

Would this be viable as a law, however? I will introduce it, and we may have this discussion.
