Proposed amendment to the title:

My reasoning is that we already have a FitzGerald Act (for Frances FitzGerald). I had some more humorous titles in mind but this might be the most 'PG.'

Might have some other concerns about the bill but I'll have to look at it more thoroughly tomorrow.

I'm concerned about the "while driving" portion, especially in the shotgun. That seems like it could cause severe distractions to the driver regardless of the extent of the activity.

Dallasfan65 proves a valid point, but "Ed" is a very common name. It could refer to any Ed, so I would propose a name change from the FitzGerald Act of August 2014 to the FitzGerald-Grehan Act. I have realized that excluding Joanne Grehan from being commemorated is utterly sexist and wrong. Even though she is not an Atlasian citizen, I do realize that she played as much of a part in this incident and suffered as much as Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald did.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. It is important to recognize both parties in this relationship.

I fully agree with the Governor.

I think the big issue here is that watching people have sex is far more interesting, and by extension, distracting to most people than watching people consume alcohol. In a big number of cases, it would basically be akin to watching pornography while driving.

I would vote Nay, opting to propose my own amendment to the bill. I believe that the woman who helped contribute to the magic should be honored as well, and the "You Go Ed Act" obviously doesn't do that.

What if the car is open and in front of other people? I don't want to see people having sex in their car.

Amendment edited to address that concern. That, of course, would be public space.
