Every year the Edinburgh Fringe chooses the Top 10 jokes from its comedic contingent (and every year I write this thread, it seems!)

Sadly, British comedy continues to do absolutely nothing on me. Or the Fringe organisation just have terrible taste.

I chuckled at no. 3 and no. 10 is a nice twist, but the rest are rather lame.

I could easily find 10 Jon Stewart quotes that are funnier than any of those.

Uh... maybe it's the way they say them?

After all, even the funniest comedy routines turn into total snoozefests when transcribed.

I randomly ended up skimming Lewis Black's Wikiquote page about a day ago, and when you see his jokes in text his jokes seem super boring and lame. The performance makes all the difference.

Though some of these don't seem super great either way.
