Uh... maybe it's the way they say them?

After all, even the funniest comedy routines turn into total snoozefests when transcribed.

I randomly ended up skimming Lewis Black's Wikiquote page about a day ago, and when you see his jokes in text his jokes seem super boring and lame. The performance makes all the difference.

Though some of these don't seem super great either way.
