It's been a truly impressive comeback.  Scott was probably never in as bad shape as some thought he was, but he was always flirting with electoral disaster.  He hasn't won it yet, but it'll probably take a pretty steep stumble for him to cough it up at this point, especially with strong GOP tailwinds.

Considering this is the FDP (which is an absolute unmitigated clusterf**k that we're all familiar with), I'm not surprised. I called it from the beginning - Scott's "comeback" is because of Democratic incompetence (and general lack of enthusiasm).

The statewide Democratic party in FL is just THAT bad folks.  There's no other way around it.  It's one of the worst run statewide parties in the country and considering how important the ground game is in Florida and how important it's become nationally, it's embarrassing.

Did the democrats really have nobody better than Charlie Crist to run against Scott?

Did the democrats really have nobody better than Charlie Crist to run against Scott?

A former CFO and gubernatorial nominee who lost a Congressional race to an attorney despite massively outspending him, a guy who hadn't served in the State Senate since 2006 (losing a gubernatorial primary in 2006 and on the losing ticket as Lt. Gov in 2010, and served as FDP chair), a big-city mayor previously indicted and suspended on suspicion of election fraud and noteworthy for his ban on feeding the homeless, a couple guys who served as mayors of a major city for less than a full term, a sitting US Senator, and Pam Iorio, who I don't think wanted to run. So yeah, we really didn't.

This is hilarious. Crist blew double digit leads and is now in the hole to Lord Voldemort.

We should of had an alternative to Crist to run in primary. Just like with Arlen Specter, people aee turned off with party switchers.

But this is a Chamber of Commerce poll.

The criminal is not going to win this race. He can only get leads by dragging Crist's numbers down and pummeling him in unanswered ads, and that isn't going to last forever. The fact that he hasn't broken 45% in a single poll is telling. Still, it will end up being a lot closer than it should be due to incompetence of Crist and the FL Dems.

Another poll with a slight Scott lead and people claiming this race is over why does this happen all the time? These two have been exchanging leads for months now this is nothing new.

This race is far from over, I can see Crist winning this race due to Scott's criminal past and anti-charismatic personality, it's just hilarious the dramatic shift this race has taken on.

16 points actually. But its not Crist's fault that liberals are attacking America with obamacare.

No, Charlie Crist never voted for Obamacare. Neither did Alex Sink. The voters thrashed Sink anyway.

Jolly won by 1.8%, hardly a thrashing. If you want to see a real thrashing, pick up a local newspaper on November 5th. Wink

The more relevant story with Sink isn't her narrow loss, it's how the party completely ed up fielding a candidate for the general.

Perhaps. Such is part of life.

The record shows that Sink had won the voters of the 13th district in 2 separate elections. Indeed, the bigwigs were so impressed with Sink that they promptly threw that other female out on her ass. As it stands, guilt by association is part of this business too.

I hope Rich can pull it off, Crist seems like he'd blow it. If Rich gets the backing of the state and federal party, who knows? But it seems that Crist continues to Sink.

Crosstabs look promising for Crist he's only winning blacks 72-15 and Dems 76-13. Needless to say there's no way Scott is winning 15% of blacks, it'll look more like 92-4 on election day same with Dem votes.
