How is the elction in PA turning out? Has Governor Corbett any chance for reelection this November? His approval ratings are low for more than two years now, but his polling numbers were slightly improving since his champaign started attacking challenger Tom Wolf in various videos.

The main reason for his poor numbers seems to be eduction funding; but as far as I know, the claim that he cut the funding (in total) is not true.

Wolf has about the same odds of beating Corbett as Sessions has of winning reelection

The polls are skewed. Corbett will win in a landslide.

I don't think even significant movement towards the Republicans before November would be enough to save Corbett at this point. He needs significant missteps from Wolf.

Here's the fun thing. Wolf LOOKS gubernatorial. Corbett looks like a generic Republican senator

I know alot of Republicans who are intending on voting for Wolf over Corbett here.

Wolf will win by at least 12 points.

Corbett sucks, he won't tax oil drillers, he put off signing the budget, trying to privatize everything.

It's probably quite hard to imagine breaking the party line yourself, but with someone as bad as Corbett, it's inevitable.

Not really, no. In addition to the inept steps he has tried to take he has made angry too many of the old people. He has simply been a little too open with his corrupt approach to the office. A 2006 Ted Strickland margin for Wolf is reasonable, especially if Wolf stays on the ball. Corbett sadly will get votes mainly from the rurals and big business interests.

It'll be interesting to see how the debates between Wolf and Corbett go. I'll be at the first one - the PA Chamber of Commerce, so I'll give a report.

Woah. I don't know if that was targeted at me, but there is no need to talk down to me. I wouldn't be a big Snowe fanboy if I was hyper-partisan. You're only giving your party a bad name by insulting like that, and in fact YOU come off as hyper-partisan as a result.

I don't know one person who would consider that jab as "hyper-partisan". And I've never seen you disagree with a Republican politician or at all attack them.

Because I've never had a prompt. I absolutely despise Lamar Smith, Rick Santorum etc due to their social stances and SOPA

No recent polling, but both are advertizing.

Still calling it for Wolf.

I know this will be fodder for plenty of jokes and a reminder of the infamous "It's not over yet..." thread (especially since the lead consultant for Corbett is Santorum's consultant) but there's supposedly a Corbett internal showing him only down four.

In other words, he's trailing by 10+. Sounds about right.

It's probably something like 43-39.

Nope, its pretty much Safe D, and its rare for an incumbent to be safe for defeat.

Normally I'd laugh, but considering Walt Havenstein of all people has a poll of him down by 5 it's very possible Corbett can find good numbers.
