I will support the latest version and while it might appear cosmetic, I applaud the effort to make the title fit the content of the bill. We need to overall be more conscious of that, IMO. You have no idea how helpful that is when researching the database, particularly for something like a lawsuit or for just policy reference. Anyway, the last thing we need to be doing is constructing more pipelines. Renewable and clean energies are the future.

Your last two sentences just so perfectly sum up my philosophy on that issue, Mr President Tongue

I am too in favour of a final vote.

Aye

Why are you opposed to this, Spiral and Cassius? I don't recall you ever making your point here.

I purpose the following amendment

What are your reasons to not delaying the final vote even though I have proposed an amendment?

Because the final vote has already begun and I do not feel that your amendment would pass even were I stop the final vote and instead begin another vote on your amendment. It is frivolous and therefore not worth considering.

Somewhat hesitant AYE

It's much much better than the original wording and impact.

But he is Acting President of the Senate, until we have a VP or a new PPT. Who else should administer the Senate please?

My amendment is not frivolous. Do you not understand the government would make money off my proposal. Is your opposition to my amendment based on the fact you want to nationalize the energy industry? How is my amendment frivolous?

The main problem, ignoring the fact that it's not exactly clear if the government owns any pipeline, is that you proposed it after the bill moved to a final vote.

I think 2/3 (7/10) of the Senate has to concur to halt a final vote and before anything else can happen, but I'm not warm on the proposed clause 3 because I'm not sure how applicable it is. At any rate, I'm serious that I think we should get some procedural clarification on what is going on before we do anything new.

This has enough votes to pass. Senators have 24 hours to change their votes.

If the President is correct I motion to hold a vote to delay a final vote to determine the merits of the proposed amendment.

Hasn't the final vote already concluded? It's just the 24-hours vote change period, afaik.
