Because so many of you have My Little Pony signatures, several family members thought that this forum was for bronies, and that I was somehow a closeted bronie. (Being a fan of several pre-school tv shows, I can understand why they also may have thought that).

Eventually I discovered that you can make signatures invisible, so I did.

Friends who I've shown this site either think it's overtly nerdy (such as the History, What-If, or Political Geography boards), juvenile and invested with teenagers (the 2016 Board), or nearing TMZ gossip (Off-Topic and Forum Community boards).

How can anyone be truly close to you if they don't know about Atlas?

I think a majority of the forum knows more about Bushie's life than they do about those of their friends and family.

Though my GF has seen me browsing it a few times, despite my best efforts.  Her first remark, of course, was "why are the colors switched?"

Well.. I think it's because I prefer to use my laptop in the dining room, as opposed to being cooped up in my room, and so they've inevitably seen the atlas forum when they walk by.

I've referenced topics from the Forum occasionally, but none of my family or friends are aware that I post here. And since the Forum Community is really the only board I visit anymore, I think they might be disturbed if they found out I spent any time at all on it.

I've told a few of my friends about Atlas. Let's just say, they don't have a particularly high opinion of this place.
