You guys realize this is news from February?

...because that's all this bill did. The whole entirety of it.
It also funneled billions of dollars in corporate welfare to the agricultural industry, which was likely Obama's main motivation for signing it.

Obama stops acting like he's America's baby daddy. Liberals outraged.

He had no reason to expand paternalistic non-cash benefits during the recession. We have enough corporate/industrial welfare and enough silly vote-buying "socialism" in the US.

Why are you posting a news article from February?

My guess would be it's making the rounds on social media among liberals and Snowstalker read it and posted here without actually paying attention (or putting any sort of analysis on the story whatsoever... it's not just post-padding, it's ultra-low quality, lazy post-padding).

Yeah, but I'd figure once people pointed out its 6 months old he'd have the courtesy to delete it.

We're talking about Snowstalker... if he had any courtesy, he wouldn't post 99% of the stuff he does.

It's over ten years.  How much of this decrease is because it's expected the economy will improve a bit and people won't need food stamps as much?

Still supports the ridiculous farm subsidy program, and is far less of a cut than Republicans asked for, so Republicans got the short end of the stick.

SNAP obviously needs to be separated from the Farm Bill, and pretending like the cut was anything but a victim of this problem is misleading.
