I do remember it, and I remember thinking the premise that people wouldn't have a/c was crazy. As if there were also commercials imploring people do go out and get their homes wired for electric lighting or indoor plumbing. Air conditioning is no less universal nor is it any less critical here.

It's amazing to think how even the 90s seem nostalgic sometimes. We didn't have a computer in our home until December 2000. That was even a little behind the times for many middle class families. I didn't get a cell phone until 2006 when I was 18 years old. Now I see little kids using I-Pads that even I don't know how to use.

I'm still baffled by this. There's nothing remotely memorable about this commercial.

It was the only commercial on Nickelodeon that wasn't for a toy or cereal and it played at least once every hour, like their strategy was to get kids in hot living rooms to beg their parents to buy a Sears AC. It made no sense to any kid why he was watching it and it always stuck.
Parents will sometimes watch tv with their kids.
