I do remember it, and I remember thinking the premise that people wouldn't have a/c was crazy. As if there were also commercials imploring people do go out and get their homes wired for electric lighting or indoor plumbing. Air conditioning is no less universal nor is it any less critical here.
I thought the same. I mean, I understood some people lived in places that you don't really need A/C, but the people in the commercial obviously did. Even poor people I knew had A/C, when I was poor, I had A/C...and the people in the ad didn't even look that poor.
