Just, you know, hurried in a grave with a tombstone.

I'm not certain as to what would happen to my remains were I to die today or in the near future. I don't have anything in writing and I haven't talked about the issue with anyone. For what it's worth, every family member that has died in my lifetime has chosen cremation. My grandma has set aside a family plot and that is the requirement for interment.

I can't say I have any real preference as to what happens, as it would have no effect on me. The only requirements I would have for cremation would be that the remains be permanently put into the ground. I'm not a fan of keeping urns of deceased individuals on a mantle. A simple burial of the remains into California soil with a simple headstone would suffice.

Buried on land or at sea? -- not at all.

Cremated? -- not at all.

I want my corpse bombarded with antiparticles until not a fragment of me exists. Since that isn't available, I'll have to settle for exposure to be picked clean by crows and vultures.

Buried with small monument, but a part of my body, likely my arm, cremated and the ashes spread over a campgroung in Western PA.

Oh, and take every organ/item from me that can be used.

Give my vital organs to someone who needs them (assuming we're not 3D printing that stuff by then); burn the rest.

That's a beautiful thought. My recently deceased cousin wanted to do that, but it turned out it was illegal. Hope for you that its legal in the UK (or a free Scotland!) when you die.

I forgot about that, but I support that as well (provided all realistic possible life-saving measures had failed).

Cremated, with bits of my ashes spread over various places of sentimental importance.  Don't know yet where exactly, still too much life left to know for sure, but the lawn at Tanglewood is a leading contender.

Cremated so my ashes can be put in the Atlantic off of Martha's Vineyard, and donate all my organs that can be used to help someone that needs them.

Cremated after organ donations, then the ashes sifted through in a lab for enough carbon to compact into diamond to incorporate into a piece of jewelry. It would be some sort of morbid heirloom or memento. Not at all sure what to do with the rest of the ash yet.

I plan to donate my organs, too.  If they can't use anything to help someone else, then they can use them for medical research.

Oh when I die, don't bury me at all
Place my bones in alcohol.
And at my feet, place a snow white dove
To tell the world I died for love.

The camp I've worked at has a memorial forest where cremated remains are placed in a biodegradable urn to nourish a trees, so I've thought about that. On the other hand I really like cemeteries with statues.
