Went with Athens (R.E.M., B-52's, Widespread Panic), Gainesville (Tom Petty), and Knoxville (Girlfriend is a big Vols fan).

Honorable Mentions: Baton Rouge, Columbia (MO), Lexington, and Nashville

Oxford has no Waffle House, so obviously it can't win.

I'm obligated to argue for Starkville, with my other votes going to BR and Athens.

I've posted quite extensively on Starkville, Mississippi State and Oktibbeha County on the Forum.  I'm sure a routine search would provide more than enough evidence to support my claim that Starkville is the SEC's greatest college town
