Looks like I was wrong about Texas A&M, whom I had picked to come in 6th in the SEC West, but we'll see.

In game #2 tonight, Ole Miss leads Boise State 7-3, with about six minutes to go in the first half.

It would be pretty amazing if Boise State could pull this out.

I'm so pumped up about the game against LSU next week. It's such a great opportunity for us.

In other news, Las Vegas bookies seem to think that both LSU and Oklahoma are vulnerable as they are currently a 9 1/2 to 10 point and 7 1/2 to 10 point favorite against Mississippi State and West Virginia respectively.

Yep, this West Virginia game just screams classic Oklahoma chocke.

As for LSU, I think we match up pretty well with them -- our front 7 is one of the best in the SEC, and LSU doesn't have the quarterback play to exploit our biggest weakness, the secondary. If Dak Prescott can make the plays on offense, we have a shot. (And if we do win, he'll launch himself into the Heisman conversation.)

The real leader is whoever has gotten the most SEC games right. The others are essentially exhibition games.

Mississippi Rising, as Ole Miss takes down Auburn, and Mississippi State is flattening Texas A&M... something tells they'll be 1-2 in the polls on Sunday.

You better have done that on purpose as a bad joke...

I feel pretty confident Mississippi State will be #1 tomorrow. Auburn was just a few points behind FSU this past week. Mississippi State will gain all of those votes, and since some voters had us down at 5 or 6, we'll gain a lot on some ballots.

The question is whether FSU or Ole Miss is #2. Ole Miss has the more recent flash, but they were kinda shaky against Boise State and Memphis if any of the voters remember/ever knew/care.

October 2014 is probably the greatest month in Mississippi's entire history. Really.
