All of these Democrats in the Midwest running successfully into a GOP headwind really makes John Kasich look like an absolute genius.

That said, I still think that Snyder and Walker have fine shots at winning.

Whoa. Snyder is in deep trouble if he's trailing in an EPIC-MRA poll. IIRC, they've usually been very favorable to Republicans.

Snyder just keeps getting worse and worse here. With this, his average lead moves even further downwards to 2.14%.

Note: The last non-internal poll to show Schauer leading was back in June....of 2013!

I'll have to see other polls to confirm, but this is truly great news.

Schauer has been whittling down the lead for a while now. He must be running a good campaign.

Or the fact that he's running against some kid without a driver's license who might have cheated on his wife with a Irish woman in a car that he doesn't have a license for at 5:00 AM.

Or maybe he is a genius.

How about this

Governor's races -> Dem "wave"
Senate races -> GOP "wave"
House races -> Tossup
?

Y'all need to stop getting hard at the idea of "waves". This isn't a wave election, full stop. Period.

Agreed. I doubt the Dems will net pickup in the Gubernatorial elections, too.

If anything they're the waves from '08 and '10 receding back to normal levels.

Michigan polls generally are more Republican than the actual electorate turns out to be, so if right-leaning pollsters are showing Schauer up, he's probably up a bit more than this. Michigan polls are bad, but they never overestimate Democrats.

Nice straw man, bro, but not quite.

Michigan polls are notoriously bad because they are Republican-leaning. So if you don't really have a logical point to make...don't make it Wink

Kasich backing off of attacking unions is what saved him (or what might have saved him, the election hasn't happened yet).
