"Eight Arms to Hold You" sounds like an early 90s love ballad.

Late '90s album title, but close (and the working title for the Help! movie).

At a party once I met a marine biology major and she described herself as "obsessed with cephalopods". I tried to make conversation by mentioning some fun facts about cuttlefish I learned from the internet but she clarified she was mostly into octopidiformes, not decapodiformes. She had a distinctly sexual tone in her voice when she was sharing everything she loved about octopi. My final verdict (that I didn't say to her face of course) was that she was way too into tentacle porn

i actually once caught a girl browsing tentacle porn. like, she had left it on her computer in class without realizing it. she looked normal too not the weeb stereotype. it creeped me out

creatures that randomly pop up (not just searching for vids/pics/whatever) or get referenced a lot in my day to day:

* bats - favorite animal, obviously. basically like dogs with wings

* snakes - since lola (our pet garden snake - she was very affectionate with us) died outside, i've met a lot of people with a unique bond with them.

* cats - i'm a cat person, i know an inordinate amount of people that are cat lovers or like drj..

* spiders - my boyfriend kenny is terrified of them, straha thinks it's hilarious. beyond that my family has a thing about them. we were raised to leave them alone and appreciate their company. it's normal to walk into a room full of webs... also there's a certain eccentric friend of mine named cindy (she's an ex dominatrix and that's one of the less strange things about her... wonderful lady, don't get me wrong) who has this tarantula named sally that's normally on her shoulder or head.

* sharks - similar to snakes. very misunderstood, affectionate creatures that just happen to be carnivores

Is that supposed to be about sexual fetishes, or am I reading too much into the OP?

Is it octopuses when you have many of one species, and octopi when you have many different species, or vice-versa?  I never can remember these things.

what's funnier about this post is that it's not like i'm shy about mentioning certain other less mainstream things about me or my kenny on irc
