In another thread some people complained about Iowa and New Hampshire regularly being the first caucus/primary states.

What about the following idea?

I suggest that the primary session be divided into four stages.
During each stage the same amount of states/territories will hold their primaries/caucuses, beginning with the least populous regions.

This method would be fairer than holding all primaries on one day as smaller candidates can win momentum and as small states would attract attention.

The schedule would look like this:

The first stage would be politically balanced:

4 red states
1 purplish red state
2 red territories

3 blue states
1 purplish blue state
3 red territories

All states should vote at once, with a second runoff election for every candidate who breaks, say, 5%.

HI, but still better than the system we have now. I would favor a system with all states done at once (dem and rep primaries can be on different days) and whoever gets the most votes in the country as a whole wins. No delegates.

We need superdelegates to reign in voters. It is through the guidance of leaders that the ignorance of many primary voters is corrected.

Iowa and New Hampshire have been at the front of the line for far too long. They should be at the back of the line for decades. I'm really tired of the same states controlling the entire presidential election process.
