What's the joke dude?

Is it that it would be absurd to think that a sexual predator would be restrained in taking advantage of children?  Is this joke assuming that gay children want to engage in sex at an early age and this will dissuade them from sex by the horrific trauma?  I don't get it.

Remember, jokes are both supposed to be funny and have a point.  I'm not against joking about mass death or rape or tragedy or anything really.  The question is what is your point.  If your point is something creepy and vile, it's offensive.  If there's an actual valid point, it's fair game.  Let's also not forget you have a rape-y photo in your signature and you had some strange comments about rape a few days ago.

I hate how straight white men suddenly turn into free speech fighters in the cause of saying obnoxious, stupid things that degrade people who are already victimized in society.  Do you think rape victims and victims of torture on account of their sexual orientation have it too easy?  Do we really need to take them down a peg?  How about just apologizing for saying something incredibly dumb and creepy?

The joke was intended to be that it was ridiculous that anyone would be so dumb as to think rape would cause someone to change sexual orientation.  I'm sorry that it didn't come across that way.
