Agree (critical).  

It's critical because we have people sitting in a jail cell with their lives ruined for smoking pot.  There are few other things to do in the United States where the consequence is so outrageous when compared to the action.  Tell me of one crime that people are sentenced to jail for (I'm not talking about throwing people in overnight after public drunkenness or things like that) that is less harmful than smoking pot.  I'd love to hear it.

This is good point. I'd say decriminalization is critical, whereas legalization is not.
