Schedule for Hillary Clinton

September 25, 2007

Meet Voters in Mexico Beach, Florida

Visit Airmen at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida

I can assure you that as President, our military might will not be wasted on people the world does not care about, it will be judiciously positioned to thwart threats like Osama Bin Laden, and Vladimir Putin, people who seek to impose their ideals onto the rest of humanity.

Meet Voters in Mediaoplis, Iowa (With Jack Hatch, Sally Pederson)

September 26, 2007

Meet Voters in Danville, Iowa

Meet Voters in Grandview, Iowa

Meet Voters in Wapello, Iowa

Speech in North Liberty, Iowa

President Giuliani's discussion of reviving our Space Program, which has been moribund for years is a great start, and we need to have the discussion he's proposing. The problem is, having not left Earth's orbit since 1972, we are going way too quickly to want to even have a report about being on the moon by next July Fourth. My plan would include increased funding for the National Radio Astronomy Observatory, to explore what lies beyond in the stars, for SETI, so we can prove once and for all whether there is or isn't life on other planets and for NASA, so that we have the funding to actually carry out the ambitious program President Giuliani is advocating. It'll be a long road, but we've done it before, and we can do it again.

September 27, 2007

Attend First Day of Sukkot Services/Speech at Temple Emanuel, Davenport, Iowa

While Israel has the right to live, and the right to defend itself, no one, be it Hamas, or the IDF normally has the right to hit innocent civillians in combat. Now, I certainly don't believe Israel aims for civilians or civilian targets, and the reality is that Hamas's track record being what it is, they have every right to massacre the civilians in Gaza, should they feel it appropriate. If anything the fact the IDF doesn't says a great deal about their higher moral standards, and their lack of desire to lower themselves to their enemies standards, even when the best thing for country is to do so.

September 28, 2007

Play 18 with Hillary Fundraiser at Bethpage Black Course ($3 Million to play 18 holes of golf with Hillary Clinton and Maria Shriver)

September 29, 2007

Phone Bank at the Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa

September 30, 2007

Perform Ceremonial Coin Toss for Miami Dolphins/Oakland Raiders, Dolphin Stadium (With Gloria Estefan)

"The borders are more leaking today than they were before 9/11. We haven't done what we need to do to toughen up our borders, and I will. We need a guest-worker program, but if it's all we have, it's not going to solve the problem. We need to crack down on illegal hiring. It's against the law in the US to hire people illegally, and we ought to be enforcing that law properly. We need an earned-legalization program for people who have been here for a long time, stayed out of trouble, got a job, paid their taxes, and their kids are American. We got to start moving them toward full citizenship, out of the shadows."

Howard Dean Schedule - September 22nd-30th, 2007

"Today is a new day. The latest polling shows us gaining momentum and gaining fast. By election day, I think we'll win the Democratic Primaries and then on the road to win the White House. It goes to show: if you run on something you believe in, people will follow. The Washington establishment will tell you that grassroots campaigners and liberals will never prevail, I'm here to prove otherwise. It's time for new leadership, and I believe the American people should decide that leader, not the special interests. Today, we stand for real change, and I will fight on behalf of everyone here and everyone in America for freedom, justice, and equality!"

"Some people say we need to tax corporations less, but we all know that's a bunch of malarkey. Corporations get off in loopholes and then ship jobs to China. We need a more stringent tax code that holds corporations accountable, by cutting loopholes and corporate deductions, and putting forward stricter trade barriers on companies that choose to outsource. I agree with conservatives that taxes are incentives, and I want to incentivize American jobs, by decentivizing outsourcing. It's really that simple."

OOC: I'm sorry, but why is NYE getting away with posting NINE endorsements?

After this round the game jumps ahead to November, so I will amend the endorsement requests.

Typically 5 total (e.g. 3 people, two orgs or 5 people..., etc)

I will allow everyone the opportunity to have nine total endorsements heading into this round.
It can be nine people, or six people and three orgs. You choose, but everyone gets nine.

After we move to November it will go back to the regular five endorsements

√ Direct Election Gaining Ground

The way Americans elect their Presidents may be changed, and perhaps sooner rather than later. A measure gaining ground in the House of Representatives, that would abolish the Electoral College System, replacing it with a direct election by popular vote. Simply put, the ticket which received the most votes would become President and Vice President of the United States. The measure has a long way to go, first leaving committee, and making it to the floor for a vote.

The force driving effort is the increased narrowness of US election. The past two have been narrowly decided both in electoral and popular vote, the proponents of the bill say, plus with the increased presence of third party candidates this new system would make sense, instead of a deadlocked election being decided in the House. If the measure were to ultimately be successful, analyst expect it would take effect at the very earliest in 2012.

During 2000, this state is the most-focused state, Florida. George Bush won it, but by only 537 votes. Al Gore wants to make your voices heard, so he demanded countywide recounts. As President, I will make sure that we abandon the punch-card voting and just only use one system of voting. This makes our elections nationwide ‘’fair and square’’. Let’s be sure if our votes are really counted. Vote for transparency and vote for the best.

Going back here in Iowa reminds me of the journalists’ conference we held this month. Now, even though the situation in Iraq is going stable, we cannot ensure the safety of our journalists. One example is ABC’s Bob Woodruff, severely injured from an improvised explosive device in Iraq. Some were also kidnapped and tortured. The war is the reason for this events. No war, we have peace. Vote for the candidate who will promote peace and that is…………….(asks the audience)

TV Ad: 2008

LINCOLN: This is a year for change. I'm Blanche Lincoln, former CEO of the Gates Foundation, and candidate for President. At the Gates Foundation I worked to put thousands of new computers and information technology in the hands of underprivileged students.

LINCOLN: When I served Arkansas in the United States Senate, I was a tireless fighter for my neighbors of all political stripes, and fiercely defended the rights of workers while fighting to raise the minimum wage. When you go to caucus [or: Vote in the primary] this January, remember this: I'm Blanche Lincoln, and I'll never sell you out or for a donation. I'll never betray my values for a vote. And you'd better believe I approved this message.

Ralph '08: Building for the Future (TV SPOT)

Hi. I'm Ralph Nader. You probably know me, I was that spoiler candidate in Florida seven years ago. Next year, I want to run for President again. I believe America needs a change, a turn for the future. I would like to see an America not dependant of Middle East Oil Barons, but using its own renewable energy sources. I would like to see an America where everyone can get a job, and the ones who have on do not have to fear that his employer goes off to Mexico. I would like to see an America where everyone has the same chances, and can become whatever he wants, yes even you little Jimmy! I would like to see this America in the future, and we need to build this America, build for the future.

I am Ralph Nader, and I approve this message.
Paid for by the Nader for President Committee

Iowa Congressmen Braley and Loebsack Endorse Dean

At a press conference in Iowa, Congressmen Bruce Braley and Dave Loebsack, both former endorsees of Governor Tom Vilsack, have backed the candidacy of Former Vermont Governor Howard Dean. This adds to Deans strong advantage in Iowa, both in terms of infrastructure and poll numbers. Both congressmen, noted progressives, backed Dean on his progressive policies on education and campaign finance.

Eight Weeks Later for Dean for America - Part 1

Week One

Howard Dean barnstormed through New Jersey, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Maine with Bill Bradley, Carol Shea-Porter, and Lowell Weicker, while other Dean surrogates barnstormed elsewhere and fundraiser with small donors. Dean appeared on Fox News, where he had a fiery exchange with Bill O'Reilly. His campaign also built offices in South Carolina and Nevada, delegate heavy smaller states, and built one new office in each of Florida, Arizona, New Mexico, and Georgia.

Week Two

Howard Dean barnstormed through Illinois and Michigan with Jesse Jackson, John Conyers, and two new endorsees Lt. Governor John Cherry and Governor Jennifer Granholm, whose endorsements were announced late in the week. Those endorsements give Dean a significant boost in the primary state. A news story came out in the New York times about the grassroots support for the Dean Campaign, giving him a minor boost nationwide. New offices built in Florida, Connecticut, and New Jersey. He revealed his plan for campaign finance reform and pushed an amendment to ban campaign contributions over a certain amount and for more public financing of elections.

Week Three

Howard Dean sweeps through the South, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Alabama with Jesse Jackson, and new endorsees former Education Secretary Richard Riley and former Congressman Robert Wexler. Both endorsements were relaitvely minor, but Riley remains popular in South Carolina, gaining some elderly support, and his support went up in Wexler's congressional district, an already liberal district. This week, Howard Dean boosted his southern infrastructure, previously weak, with more campaign offices and posting more literature.

Week Four

Barnstorming through Arizona and New Mexico, Dean received endorsements Former Arizona Governor Bruce Babbitt and Former Lieutenant Governor and Green candidate Roberto Mondragon. Dean does a series of town halls in the states, getting questions from citizens and practicing retail politics. Dean also announced his plan for tax reform, letting the Bush tax cuts expire, cutting out loopholes for corporations, and cutting taxes for the middle class. One major point he's been hammering up to this point has been fair trade, going after the blue collar vote, a voting block that has previously been alienated by Dean's environmental streak.
