7th Circuit judges eviscerate gay marriage bans

The Seventh Circuit heard oral arguments on Tuesday over the gay marriage bans in Wisconsin and Indiana. Based on those arguments (with the usual caveats about predicting rulings from oral arguments), it looks like it's going to be a unanimous 3-0 ruling. I really want to point out the comments from conservative Reagan-appointed Judge Posner:

Judge Posner is probably not politically "conservative" anymore though, he actually wrote an article saying he had become a believer in Keynesian economics.  If you're not a Christian and you're Keynesian, are you really a conservative in 2014?  I would say no.  And there's the money quote from Posner,

That said, Posner destroyed the lawyers in those clips.  It's a beautiful thing.  Although it's not really fair.  The government in these cases has no good arguments because there are no good arguments for their side.

It always baffles me how the right wants to point out the benefits of marriage and family as an argument against letting gays marriage. Kids from intact home have more successful lives, so we're going to scuttle any chances the kids of gay parents have by denying the legitimacy of their relationships. WTF?
