No, and he shouldn't, either; he just has to close his eyes.

Nah. He's going to get what he always wanted; a nice consulting job at a Marcellus Shale drilling company.

He deserves every point he loses by down to the tenths.

He's the best guy that it could happen to. Smiley

And yeah, he'll just go back to legalized racketeering, but at least we'll be rid of him.

College students love Corbett, just look at his "model", he's going to win Centre County! Wink

Anyway, of course not. I'm not even sure a majority of PA Republicans would vote yes on this.

Well, he came into office during a very difficult time. As far as I know, he did not cut education spending in total (only first budget). The cuts were also made because federal money was no longer avaiable, and since 2012 he begun increasing education spending again. I believe Corbett did things wrong, but it's not fair to blame him for all problems.

Although I do not agree with most of his political views (taxes for example), I have to admit that I like his kind of personality. He says what he thinks. There are many republican governors who do a far worse job than Corbett (like Perry or Scott).

It really isn't saying very much that he's better than a corrupt guy who just got indicted and a criminal Medicare fraudster.

Didn't he cover us the Sandusky investigation or something? Sounds like a pretty horrible person, even ignoring the inherent horrible personness that comes with being a Republican politician in 2014.

No, he caused it on himself. I wonder what his political future is after November.

Yes, completely. He's probably in the top half of governors in the country and should at least remain competitive (though I remain a bit undecided).

If only because he tried to privatize liqour stores in Pennsylvania, which is only the most common sense policy in the world.

Corbett can't even effectively collaborate with his own party in the legislature. I'm not sure how he could possibly be called a good governor.

Pardon my ignorance, but why is Corbett so unpopular? There are several GOP Govs crazier than him (Walker, Perry, Scott).

And even then he managed to turn that into sexist ramblings.

No. Even hack Kane's inquiry debunked that nonsense.

And that really is a huge, huge part of this.

Just out of curiosity, from a Republican POV, who do you blame more for this? Corbett or the legislature?

Walker, Perry, and Scott are crazy, but they're competent and know what they're doing.

Tom Corbett can't even get his own party on board to pass his agenda.
