Serious question for you: Have you told anyone you know in real life that you support Sanders over Clinton purely for these demographic reasons?  And if so, what was their response?

Yes actually. When discussion at work first happened about this I said I supported Hillary even though almost everyone there supports Sanders. After Iowa when I flipped to Sanders and said so and why the response was basically "Awesome, glad to have your vote!"
