I was three feet away from him at the AFP Summit last year. He left the room right when I got close enough to shake his hand. Like Marco Rubio, he is surprisingly short. Really short. Reminds me of this kid I knew from middle school-he was really short and had this high pitched voice, and he thought he was the cats pajamas because all the girls liked him. Of course, none of them were into him. He was the ultimate stereotype of a the gay male friend, minus the gay part. And this is exactly what Gutfeld is. The analogy was proved by the fact that the room was filled with beautiful, young conservative professional women who work on Senate staffs and for high profile Super PACs. They all left the room, going to the next scheduled seminar (Rob Portman and Energy Policy-yippie yi yo!), while a massive crush of elderly conservative women holding Fox Business totebags descended on Gutfeld.

TL;DR (am I using this right for this type of summary): Gutfeld thinks he is the hip, young face of the Conservative movement. In reality, he is just another favorite of the elderly base. Kind of like the lone black guy at a Tea Party rally who is always pushed up front and center when cameras come around.
