The nearest interstate is the Gowanus Expressway (I-278), about three miles away.  In terms of connected limited-access highways, the southern end of the Prospect Expressway gets you to about a mile and a half, and the Belt Parkway is not much further than the Gowanus.  You can't see it well on Google Maps, but it's limited-access until the traffic light at Church, where it merges into Ocean Parkway.  Counting from that light gets you closest.

Fun fact: Ocean Parkway has the first separated bike lane in American history, from all the way back in 1894.

I-66 is less than ten to fifteen minutes away by foot -about the same distance to the metrorail station I use (rail runs along the median of the interstate highway as soon as you leave Ballston).
