What say you?

Personally, I have to say no.  I have Scottish ancestry and this is a very personal thing to me, and after some thinking, I've come to the conclusion that Scotland is better off with the UK right now, given the situation in the world.

No it isn't. Have you ever been to Scotland? Do you know anyone who is from Scotland? The fact that your great-great-grandfather was born in Scotland doesn't make this any more relevant to you than to anyone else in America.

America's absurd blood quantum logic is what makes douchebags in Jersey refer to themselves as "Italian Stallions" despite not speaking a word of the language not found on an Olive Garden menu and what allows Bushie to get free healthcare despite being functionally whiter than the sugar-laden processed bread he eats.

Close.  My great-great grandmother was born in Scotland.  My great-great grandfather, though he had a Scottish surname, was born in Canada and was primarily of Irish ancestry.

Have you ever been to Scotland? Ever eaten haggis? Ever play the bagpipes? Ever wear a kilt?

No, but I'd love to do all those things except eat haggis.

BTW: does anyone still think I'm black?

I also support the Republican Party in 2014 because I support human rights for the unborn and a more business-friendly tax structure.
