It's called being a comedian. She was making a joke, and guess what? When I heard that, I said "My God, what a bitch" and laughed.

There are so many other ways to "be a bitch" that are not wishing death on an entire group of people. Which isn't a joke.

Except that if you had read your own stupid link, she didn't say that.  But whatever, your opinion, however wrong, is still your opinion.

I'll reserve my comments about her as a person for a later time--for now, I'll just say RIP.

She was really great as a guest star on Louie a couple years ago. I didn't like anything else she did, but that was a generational gap. She was a pioneer of comedy.

I can't say I ever really followed her, but I loved her Comedy Central Roast from a couple years ago. It's actually on Youtube.

I don't understand the hate against her either. I think it's really in poor taste. She did make a positive influence for many people, not to mention how beloved she was in the comedy world.

I didn't know she was a comedian, actually. The only reason I know her is for her caustic commentary over red carpet events, and I thought she only had staying power because no one else wants the job.

I don't give a  about her political comments. I assume she's as ignorant as the rest of the celebrity class. She was a wonderful comedian and a pioneer.

I always liked her, never admitted it but at least I'm not the only one who admits that know.

She was a great troll in her own way, while most people would be offended being labeled that I think she wouldn't have minded it. She was a comedian, her job wasn't supposed to kiss butt and be PC.

All this made me realize that my favorite old school comics won't be here for longer. Don Rickels (know I spelled his name wrong I always do,) Robert Klein, etc are getting up there. That's life but dang.

Joan Rivers was the Queen of comedy. She paved the way for so many, she was one of the most funniest and witty comedians to ever live. Yes, she's said a few unfortunate things but those really are a small indent on the incredible positive impact she's had on the media industry and the lives of so many. Joan, you will be missed. RIP.

I'm pretty sure Joan would love this, but why? What is it that she did that was so bad? I mean, yes, some of what she said was unfortunate but it's obvious those Palestinian comments were spoken in haste and she wasn't really wishing those people had died.
