Clinton: Don't fick your interns

Obama:  Work with republicans on Health Care, and don't spend all of your political capital on it.

Bush Sr.  Go to Baghdad for Saddam.

Bush Jr. Don't go to Baghdad for Saddam.

That would have required the Republicans to want to work on health care with him.

Yeah, those are kind of contradictory. The Democrats seemed to spend a lot of effort trying to get Snowe to vote for it. Well, she didn't, and then decided her party was too extreme anyways, and retired after her term was up.
It applies to republicans too, they all should have worked together.  If they had, he could have had the dream act.

Wilson: Stay really neutral in WW I rather than the sham neutrality that led to us entering the war after he was safely reelected.

You like Wilson? What.

No, I don't like Wilson, but I like picking him as a President whose Presidency I'd want to change what happened in it.  "You like" in the idiom "pick any <thing> you like"  refers to liking the pick, not the thing.  By the way, v0031, why have you hacked Beet's account?

Yes, to have been more clear, I should have said

Pick any U.S. President you want to..........

Ford: Don't pardon Nixon. (and there would be his full term as president and possibly a more moderate GOP).

Kennedy: I'd probably hold off on the plans to send CIA operatives to the Bay of Pigs.

John Adams: Don't try to take dictatorial powers for yourself
He didn't.  While one can argue that he should have opposed the Sedition Act, he didn't push for it and used its powers sparingly.  Nor were the contents of the Sedition Act atypical for governments of the time.

Fair enough, although "sparingly" is probably being a bit too kind to Adams on this issue (I believe he used it to try to keep at least one member of Congress from taking his seat).  He certainly should've opposed the Alien and Sedition acts.

Wilson

During your incapacity turn governmental affairs over to Vice President Marshall, not your wife, who was never elected to anything by anybody and who had no authority in affairs of state whatsoever.

With either FDR or LBJ, I would have really liked to have seen a universal healthcare system established under either the New Deal or the Great Society. If there was ever an opportunity to establish a Medicare-type system for the entire population, it would have been under one their Presidencies. At the least, it would have been nice to have FDR start something during his term (perhaps Medicare and Medicaid) that could've possibly been fully expanded to everyone by the time LBJ took office. If Medicare and Medicaid had been established 30 years earlier, I think full universal healthcare would have been accomplished decades ago.
