President windjammer would have a solid base among Blue Dog Democrats and would probably lean heavily on that segment of his coalition in order to maneuver the ever present opposition from every stripe of Republican (who would frequently accuse him of abusing is power and reading 'between the lines' in the Constitution) and liberals upset with his fairly conservative social views and hardline interventionist foreign policy. His crowning legislative achievement would probably be something fairly innocuous and something that passes with rather firm bipartisan support, so probably something like universal medical insurance for persons under the age of 18.

Dixiecrat runs as a populist, southern conservative. Governs similar to a combination of Rand Paul and Rick Perry, and is widely hated by the left. He wins a very close reelection, and his administration is shaped by his blunt language and attempts at various domestic initiatives.

Sanchez runs a reasonable libertarian administration.  He vetoes a lot of bills but also gets healthcare reform and Social Security/Medicare savings through Congress.  Hands off on foreign policy.

He runs his administration in a fairly populist yet socially conservative manner.  While GuassLaw works to expand health coverage, he vetoes legislation that would increase access to abortion.  He is also  open about his faith in public, similar to George W. Bush.

President TDAS would be basically similar to President Obama I guess. Hated by the right, he would still have solid support from the dem establishment and from the democrats as a whole, except by the far left.

Windjammer's administration would probably come across as a centrist-minded. I can see windjammer having success reaching across the aisle on issues such as national security and foreign policy. Civil liberals and the far-left would criticize him for being too authoriation. However, he'd appease this segmet by working for populaist measures, such as expanding access to healthcare and public education.

Robert Hughes described it many decades ago:

"Those southern Baptists in poly-cotton suits lacked the finesse to know when they were being flattered. They had the social grace of car salesmen, drinking amaretto and making course jokes about pyramids."

President Grumps would be like Lyndon Johnson if he were an old Republican fogey.
