A lot of people were weirded out by it. I thought it was a great ad, and concluding with the shake up Springfield was effective... Crappy Dem gov with an entrenched Dem majority in the legislature gives Rauner a lot to work with.

Ditka is a "self-described ultra ultra conservative" and always supports Republican candidates, even saying he wishes he had run against Obama in 2004 so he never became President. It's not like this is surprising

Yeah, his work with the Gridiron Greats, though, made me think that he might be more moderate. He's criticized the NFL for not taking better care of vets. Ah, Ditka is awesome, his politics horrible, then.

Terribly cheesy add but brilliant to do one with Ditka (and it ran during the Bears game!). As a hardcore Bears fan it does pain me to see, but it isn't surprising. He's been a Republican for a long time.

This ad is hilarious. Think about the message it conveys. Bruce Rauner would be in fear of the wrath of Mike Ditka for not being "tough enough" for all of his governorship. Now that's scary.
