How come not more Republicans opposed it?

I think I read that they wanted to have a debate on it so they could "take their case to their people." All this is going to accomplish is to make them look like even bigger fools than they already do.

Some media outlets (most notoriously FoX Propaganda Channel) do exactly that.

The New York Times (at least some of its reporters) have begun doing it too. That's how John Walsh was taken down, and how they spread a bogus story about Richard Blumenthal in 2010.
