Lumine has enough votes to be confirmed as President Pro Tempore. Yankee, do we have to wait until every Senator has voted (I still count Deus as having not) or do we have a vote change period on this for 24 hours?

I do not believe there is a process to end this vote early (vote change period). In the absence of a of a clear majority, the approach has generally been to wait for the time to expire because technically the rules are worded so as to preserve the rights of Senators to change vote or vote as long as the vote is on going.

Also there would be no point in a vote change period being used now if it  did exists. That would take 24 hours and exceed the total length of the vote (ends in 16 hours I think). The only time such is utilized say on a final vote on a bill, is if it works to end the vote early, its only purpose being to effect an early end.

In all seriousness, I thank the Senate for the result of the vote and I will gladly take on the challenge of being the next President Pro-Tempore. There is a lot to do, so it's off to work!
