This no longer has the votes to be tabled by my count.

As TNF's giving a vote change period was weird. It was timed exactly to correspond with the end of the vote so no harm done. Tabling is a two day vote, if 2/3rds of all those who voted abstentions excluded voted Aye at the end, it is tabled.

Nappy was the one who set the vote standard like.

Indeed, or at least my reading of the Senate rules is the same as Yankee in this situation. With five votes in the affirmative and five votes opposed, the motion to table has been defeated.

Aye (5)Sad Senator TNF, Senator Cynic, Senator Cranberry, Senator Bore and Senator Polnut.
Nay (5)Sad Senator Yankee, Senator Deus, Senator Cassius, Senator JCL and President Pro-Tempore Lumine.
Abstained (0)Sad

Not Voting (0)Sad

Aren't we just going to go in circles with this idea?

This bill is not going to pass so long as I am in the Senate. I will motion to table it, I will oppose every single amendment proposed to it, and I will make sure that it either gets voted down or vetoed. This is an attack on all working people and should be recognized as such and dealt with as such.

I certainly don't support this Bill in any way - my concern is that if the vote for the last motion for tabling is repeated it'll just sit there wasting time.

I'll support tabling this time, but it cannot just sit there being tabled time and again.

An attack on workers you say? Nationalization and heavy union power is the attack on workers,

Ugh, this. Guys, it's as good as vetoed, I promise.

But as long as this passive-aggressive obstinate behavior is the order of the day, I don't object to motions to table stuff. Go ahead.

I would be fine with just going to a final vote on this, if we aren't going to table it. Either way this bill goes down to defeat.

I guess I will too motion for a final vote, to get this crap dealt with one and for all.

I'd still like to know from Senators NCYankee and Lumine if they voted just against the tabling of this bill or if they actually support it? I suppose I know the answer from Senators Cassius and Deus...

What are your honest problems with this bill? Bringing back Taft-Hartley is a just thing. Prove to me that it isn't.!

Taft-Hartley was vetoed wisely by Truman and your repeals are just transparent attempts to roll back rights that workers enjoy. Your statements on unions are either ignorant or untruthful. I've been in a white collar union for years and would not give it up. I really don't know who would.

I want to scale back the 2012 Labor rights act to Napoleon redraft version.

I'm very happy for a final vote on this - but I worry the likely result will see a stalemate.

Good. Give us a final vote and if it passes, we can see it vetoed.

This doesn't answer my question President. The House and Senate together wisely overrode that veto.

While still keeping other aspects in place? The original idea was to scrap the whole Labor Rights Act of 2012.

I don't know why either of you are bothering. This won't pass and if it does, it's going to get vetoed. Why continue this charade?
