And the same for those of us who voted for John Edwards for the same office, am I right?

If Edwards becomes Vice President in 2005 the affair is probably butterflied away. So no.

Anyone who voted for this woman to be vice president of the United States needs to abstain from any election that takes place for the rest of their life.

And the same for those of us who voted for John Edwards for the same office, am I right?

Keeping a mistress is par for the course for men in positions of authority and has been since the beginning of time. Even having an illegitimate child is, as Strom Thurmond would attest.

But public drunken shouting matches and brawls at lower-class sporting events? Yes, that most certainly is beneath the dignity of the office of vice president.

John Edwards did a little more than just keeping a mistress.

Tell that to the jury that found him not guilty.

So how is Palin any less qualified than him? She hasn't even done anything worth pressing charges over.

Everything about her screams lower-class mediocrity. The spotty college record, the pregnant teenage kids, the highlighted hair, and now this incident. People like that have no business representing this country at its highest levels.

On a personal level, no. In terms of how it negatively affects the dignity and gravitas of a public office, yes, a public, drunken brawl is more of a national embarrassment than someone carrying on a private liaison.

Fair point, I won't disagree with this.

We knew all about Palin's ridiculousness before Election Day 2008. Edwards' affair was a secret until after the 2004 elections.

Not that I agree with the main point, it's not fair to expect Republicans to vote against their ideals, even if it meant putting Palin one heartbeat away from the White House.

Indy, Palin is a sub-mediocrty, but you could've put that in a far less classist fashion.

What here makes her unqualified to be VP?  Because she was at a party for a snowmobile contest and some of her family is unruly?     I can think of a few better reasons that that.

To think people thought she could've been president. We were that close to the end of human civilisation, people.

I can't believe Willow is already old enough to be in a drunken brawl. They grow up so fast.

TBF to Sarah, it looks like Mama Grizzly wasn't involved in the brawl itself, preferring to hang out in the limo (playing Candy Crush on her phone?) while the fracas ensued outside.

Too bad they didn't pull this stunt in Ferguson, because then I can only assume the police would have bludgeoned and tasered them all into comas.

They're white so I'm not so sure about that.
